New applications

* You are considered a 'volunteer' for the purpose of this Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)/NDIS registration, therefore there is no cost to students.

The introduction of the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 (the ACT) requires all students undertaking a clinical placement who may come in contact with 'vulnerable persons' in the ACT to undertake WWVP registration.

When attending a placement in the ACT you may be required to present your WWVP Registration Card. If you are unable to present your card, you may be asked to leave placement.

Application instructions

Renewals

If you need to renew your WWVP during your studies, it is very important to apply before the expiry date of your current WWVP registration. If you do not renew before the expiry date, you will have to apply for a brand new card which may affect your placement.

If you do apply to renew your registration before the expiry date, your current WWVP registration will be extended by three months to cover the processing time of the application.

NSW Working with Children Check

If you are required to apply for a NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC), please visit  for instructions and the online application form.

Note for all students

You MUST notify the Placement Team if your WWVP or WWCC status changes during the course of your study. You will need to provide a new WWVP/WWCC. If you are concerned this may impact on your placement, you are encouraged to seek guidance from either Inclusion91TV or your course/unit convener.
